QUALIFYING
Qualifying will use the GTA V in game timing system to determine lap times and as such all check points on the circuit will need to be cleared to make the lap count. Drivers are free to begin qualifying as soon as the in game start countdown elapses. Each circuit has a pit lane with a check point placed half in it and half on the race track, this check point will be the only place on track that drivers are allowed to respawn unless trapped on/in an obstical. Drivers wishing to respawn must enter the pit lane, clear the pit lane check point, then begin the respawn procedure (hold down Y button). This check point is designed so that drivers respawn in the pit lane and can then drive straight out onto the track and begin a hot lap.
Drivers on hot laps have right of way, drivers not on hot laps must stay off racing line and yield to faster drivers. When not out on circuit or waiting for clear track drivers must return to the pit lane.
Once half the field have completed the qualifying and the 30 second count down timer has elapsed the qualifying session will be over.
Lap time screen will be photographed and used to determine grid.
RACE
The race will also use the GTA V in game timing system and all check points will need to be cleared. If a check point is missed drivers must go back and clear it. If drivers miss a check point but continue to race the in game timing will place them a lap down. At the beginning of the race drivers must stay at their spawn point until the race manager instructs them to begin the formation lap in order to place drivers according to qualifying times. Drivers will commence the formation lap and enter the pit lane. Once all drivers are in pit lane the race manager will instruct drivers to respawn and make their way to the grid in qualifying order. Once all drivers are in grid position a race start time will be announced using the in game race clock. Once the start time is reached the race begins. Drivers will race all the way to the in game race finish and once half the field has completed the race and the 30 second count down timer has elapsed the race will be over. Race results screen will be photographed and used to determine race results.
During the race drivers who wish to respawn their car due to damage may do so only after entering the pit lane and clearing the pit lane check point. Drivers trapped on obsticals may respawn where they are trapped.
Due to the length of races it is highly possible that drivers will be lapped. Slower drivers that are being lapped must yield to other driver under lapping rules.
GRID
Drivers will line up on the grid following race manager instructions. Rows are to be seperated by 3 car lengths to allow adequate seperation.
